2-38. DUMP TRUCK OPERATION (CONT)
(3) To raise tailgate to 45-degree angle, perform steps (a) through (c).
(a) Remove chain (4) from hole (7) on tailgate (6).
(b) Install chain (4) in hole (5) on tailgate (6).
(c) Raise tailgate (6).
(4) To close tailgate, perform steps (a) and (b).
(a) Manually close tailgate (6).
(b) Install pin (2) and clevis pin (1) to top of dump body (3).
