FRONT WINCH
WARNING
Wear hand protection when handling
winch cable. do not handle cable with
bare hands. Broken wires can cause
a. While operating front winch, check condition
of wire cable, hooks and cable chain installation .
b. While operating front winch, check that
drum lock knob (4) and drum clutch lever (5)
operate properly. Also, check that winch grab brake
stops drum from revolving as soon as cable pull is
stopped.
c. Check shearpin (7) for presence and condition.
(Shearpin connects U-joint yoke and winch drive
shaft. ) It is retained with cotter pins (6).
