c. Lubrication After Fording. If a fording operation occurs, lubricate all fittings below
fording depth and check submerged gear boxes for presence of water.
d. Lubrication After High-Pressure Washing. After a thorough washing, lubricate all
grease fittings and oil can points outside and underneath vehicle.
e. Lubrication Local Views. A reference to the appropriate localized view is given
after most lubrication entries. Lubrication local views begin on page F-10.
F-2. CORROSION CONTROL
Refer to para 1-3 for appropriate corrosion control procedures.
F-3. AOAP SAMPLING INTERVAL
Engine/transmission oil must be sampled every 90 days as prescribed by DA Pam 738-
750. Hydraulic fluids must be sampled annually as prescribed by DA Pam 738-750.
F-4. HARD TIME LUBRICATION INTERVALS
For equipment under manufacturers warranty, hard time oil service intervals shall be
followed. Intervals shall be shortened if lubricants are known to be contaminated or if
operation is under adverse conditions (e.g. longer than usual operating hours, extended
idling periods, extreme dust, etc.).
